QNET and EcoMatcher have partnered up to plant a Global Forest to address the problems caused by climate change. QNET recognises that climate change is a very real and prescient problem. In order to practise RYTHM, sustainability is at the core of our company. We want to be a part of the solution and go beyond being just a green company into planting our own Green Legacy.
Why Do We Need To Address Climate Change?
We have lived through several disasters over the last decade that have been caused by climate change, directly or indirectly. Over the next decade, we can expect more natural disasters, illnesses and other catastrophes. We know through science that the problem is man-made. While we can’t reverse what has been already lost, we can do our bit to make a positive difference. With QNET and EcoMatcher, we intend to do exactly that.
Things We Can Do To Protect Our Planet
Apart from following our QNET Sustainability 101 guides in your personal lives, getting involved with an active climate change charity is the fastest way to make an impact. Reforestation and sustainable forest management have also been identified by the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as key to addressing climate change. Trees play a critical role in the livelihoods, ecology, culture, and health of the communities in which we operate.
QNET understands this and is committed to safeguarding the planet and working towards a greener future for all. As a corporation, we understand the role we have in addressing climate change and other environmental issues. As we empower our employees and distributors to champion sustainable practices in their daily lives, we also seek to partner with trusted environmental actors to spearhead sustainable initiatives around the world and drive a global discussion around sustainability.
The QNET And EcoMatcher Project
As a first step in creating our QNET Green Legacy, we have started planting a Global Forest through EcoMatcher.
EcoMatcher is a B-Corp certified social enterprise that matches individuals and corporations with tree-planting foundations worldwide through a technology-based platform. Through this partnership, QNET is reiterating its commitment to actively protect the planet by planting trees that help improve local ecosystems and generate sustainable livelihoods for local communities. Currently, we have planted 3,000 trees, spread across the Philippines, Kenya and the UAE, with plans to expand to more countries. Our aim is to plant at least 10,000 trees by the end of 2022.
