What is the World Water Forum?
The World Water Forum is the world’s largest water event. It is the place to discuss major water challenges. The 9th Forum will take place from 21 to 26 March in Dakar, Senegal with the theme “Water Security for Peace and Development”. This is the first edition in sub-Saharan Africa.
Why is the World Water Forum important?
The World Water Forum brings together representatives from governments, international institutions, universities, civil society organisations and the private sector. It provides a platform for the international water community and key decision-makers to collaborate and make long-term progress on global water issues. Around 5,000 contributors and 30,000 participants are expected!
The 9th Forum will focus on :
- Water security and sanitation,
- Water for rural development,
- Cooperation,
- Tools and means including the crucial issues of financing, governance, knowledge management and innovations
Why is QNET participating in this major water event?
QNET’s participation in this major water event aims to contribute to the reflection on water security for African populations; the issue of water is part of QNET’s global strategy which pays particular attention to the need to provide sustainable solutions that constructively contribute to the prevalence of awareness on how best to access safe drinking water, considered by QNET as a right guaranteed to all humans.
QNET will be exhibiting HomePure products. Visitors will be able to experience the HomePure filtration technology, discuss the direct selling industry, QNET’s actions and proposals on the crucial issue of water quality for the world’s population and more specifically for Africa.
